Kosan Fruit Farm Gets a Processing Plant

Korean Workers’ Party [KWP] Vice Chairman and KWP Propaganda and Agitation Department Director Ri Il Hwan (Ri Il-hwan) formally opened a fruit processing facility on the premises of the Kosan Combined Fruit Farm on 1 October (Wednesday).  According to KCNA, “the construction of the fruit processing base capable of mass-producing processed fruit goods in the combined large-scale fruit production base helped the Kosan Combined Fruit Farm perfect its appearance as a standardized combined fruit farm of our country, it being precious wealth that will contribute to the improvement of the people’s living standard.”

Ri delivered a report in which he said “that the Plant is precious creation produced under the energetic leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) who is materializing the behests of Chairman Kim Jong Il (Kim Cho’ng-il) into a brilliant reality.”  Ri said in the report that “Kosan has turned into a vast thriving orchard, a large-scale fruit producing and processing base comprising a modern pig farm, sci-tech dissemination room and fruit processing plant, and a good place to live with thousands of house and cultural and welfare facilities.”

Ri Il Hwan stressed that “the officials and employees of the Plant should take care of the precious equipment and buildings provided under the solicitude of the Party and produce more famous products loved by the people and thus make an active contribution to improving the people’s standard of living.”
