Gary Samore is Professor of the Practice of Politics at Brandeis University and Senior Executive Director of the Crown Center for Middle East Studies. His experience negotiating with North Korea dates back to the US-DPRK Agreed Framework of 1994. During those negotiations, he headed the US experts level talks with the North Korean delegation headed by the current Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho.
