Gordon Kang is a Senior Analyst in the Regional Security Architecture Programme at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is also a member of the Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific (CSCAP) Singapore. He previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Korea Centre, East Asian Institute (EAI), National University of Singapore, and at the Korean Studies Research Hub and Gender, Environment and Migration Cluster, Asia Institute, University of Melbourne. He holds a master’s in international relations (Advanced) from the Australian National University (ANU), and a bachelor’s in politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the same university. He has published in peer-reviewed journals such as The Pacific Review, and commentary platforms such as The Diplomat and The Interpreter. His research interests include Foreign Policy on the Korean Peninsula; Diplomacy and Engagement with North Korea; Geopolitics in East Asia; and Critical Security Studies and International Relations Theory.
