Isozaki Atsuhito is a Professor of North Korean Studies at Keio University in Japan. His research primarily focuses on North Korean politics and Japan-North Korea relations. He previously served as a Special Analyst on North Korean affairs at the Intelligence and Analysis Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. From 2001 to 2004, he was a Senior Researcher on North Korean politics at the Embassy of Japan in Beijing. He was also a Japan Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars from 2016 to 2017.
