Dae Un Hong

Dae Un Hong teaches North Korean law and society as an adjunct professor at Cornell Law School. He also teaches and practices law in Seoul, South Korea.

Dr. Hong has graduated from Seoul National University (B.A. in International Relations) and received law degrees from Hanyang University (J.D.), Northwestern University (LL.M.), and Cornell University (LL.M. & J.S.D.). He completed his doctorate at Cornell Law School with a dissertation titled “Economic Crimes in North Korea: Changes and Continuities” and has published articles in both U.S. and South Korean journals. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and South Korea.
