Gabriella Wangmu Zhaxi is a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge researching North Korean politics, propaganda, and East Asian international relations. She is a 2022 Korea Foundation-Chatham House Next Generation Fellow and has published in The Diplomat, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, and NK Pro. Her research draws on a 28-year Korean-language corpus of North Korean state media and field research across six North Korean cities.
