is a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University, China, and a researcher specializing in East Asia. His work has been featured in numerous publications, including Nikkei Asia, Center for Strategic and International Studies, South China Morning Post, The National Interest, and Asia Unbound, among others. Jinwan’s professional experiences span roles at CSIS, CFR, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the UW Center for East Asian Studies, and the US Consulate in Busan. He has represented South Korea at multiple international forums, such as the US-ROK-Japan Trilateral Global Leadership Youth Summit and the ASEAN-Korea Youth Summit. Passionate about driving positive change, Jinwan founded Education Empowerment Korea, an educational non-profit, and has actively championed human rights initiatives. He earned his BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, following two years of study at Keio University in Japan.
