Jinwook Nam is an Associate Research Fellow at the Korea Development Institute (KDI). His areas of expertise include the North Korean economy, with a particular focus on market prices and exchange rates, North Korea-China trade, and satellite data. Nam serves on the editorial board of the KDI Review of the North Korean Economy. He received a BS in Economics and Statistics from University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, an MA in International Studies from Seoul National University, and a PhD in Economics from University at Albany-SUNY.
