Ralph Savelsberg

Ralph Savelsberg has a PhD in applied physics (2006), and a background in experimental fluid dynamics. He has worked at the Faculty of Military Sciences, Netherlands Defence Academy, since 2010, where he teaches courses on weapons effects and guided missiles to prospective officers of the Netherlands military. In 2014, he became associate professor for missile defense. The primary focus of his research is modeling and simulation of space launchers and ballistic and hypersonic missile threats, based on open sources. He has published papers on missiles used by the Houthis in Yemen, and by North Korea, Iran and the People’s Republic of China.
