38 North’s New Home: The Henry L. Stimson Center

As promised, 38 North has survived the unexpected and untimely end of the US-Korea Institute at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and is moving to The Henry L. Stimson Center, a Washington-based research center working to solve the world’s greatest threats to security and prosperity. The team at 38 North couldn’t be happier with our new home.

As everyone knows, these are precarious but exciting times on the Korean Peninsula; precarious because the recent moves towards ending hostility are still fragile, and exciting because they represent the best chance for peace in decades. Given these recent developments and the growing need for an informed public debate about dealing with North Korea, we will continue to provide our readers with up-to-date quality policy and technical analysis of events in and around North Korea by experts with first-hand experience dealing with that country and its people.
